As part of the Isle of Wight 0-19 Services journey towards BFI accreditation and as part of the work with the Infant Feeding Strand of the Family Hubs and Start for Life initiative, we are recruiting an Infant Feeding Team Co-ordinator.
In the role, you will manage breastfeeding support caseload, triaging referrals and allocate work to colleagues in the Breastfeeding support team as well as working with the team to deliver breastfeeding training to colleagues.
This includes supporting the delivery of breastfeeding health promotion and early intervention alongside support for parents to achieve successful breastfeeding with the aim to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities, working in partnership with Midwifery, Health visiting, Primary care, Isle of Wight Council and voluntary services.

It is responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme to families, children and young people across the Isle of Wight.
The service is delivered within the community and home settings in partnership with families, children and young people and with key partners including:The primary aim of the service is to reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for children and families.
We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust.Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services.
The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
