About The Role:

Are you an ambitious ornithologist with experience delivering ecological reports and technical assessments? Do you have a sound understanding of ornithology/bird ecology and behaviour, perhaps from a career in consultancy, research or working for government? APEM Group are looking for a Senior Ornithology Consultant to join our team

As Senior Ornithology Consultant, you will be involved in a wide variety of projects, aimed at protecting birds across the UK.

You will use the most robust science to provide our clients with expert advice and the ability to interpret, assess and report on the key findings of bird data for use in our baseline characterisation, EIA and HRA projects across the globe.

Alongside this, you will collaborate and/or lead on proposal preparations, liaising with clients to deliver technical excellence across all aspects of the consultancy process.

As you progress in this role, you will also contribute to bringing in new projects through the preparation of successful costed proposals, the production of high quality scientific reports and maintaining good relationships with clients.

You will become a key advisor for clients and stakeholders, using your knowledge to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse range of projects, as well as mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
