In-School Youth (ISY) Coordinator Support

Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM


Primary Job Functions:

  • Coordinate all aspects of daytoday ISY program operations.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the ISY Follow-Up program for previous year's students.
  • Maintain healthy relations with all publics including students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
  • Attend students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators recruiting and information sessions as needed to maintain student participation levels.
  • Instruct students and prepare lessons especially in areas of basic math and reading literacy, workforce readiness, job attainment and job retention skills; instruction may be at the group level, online and remote and/or oneonone; maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Know and adhere to ISY grant and College policies, procedures, and guidelines; attain grant performance benchmarks.
  • Communicate with ISY Coordinator(s) and content instructor(s) regularly; Program Manager as needed; participate in monthly staff meetings; work closely with other instructional staff to ensure students' success.
  • Submit all program staff timesheets for payment in a timely fashion.
  • Register and collect documents (as required) for student entrance into the program.
  • Maintain student folders and program data; submit and upload required documents and data in a timely manner into the appropriate systems; submit required monthly report to manager for submission to Bucks County Workforce Investment Board (BC-WIB)
  • Complete Individual Service Strategy/Employment Development Plan for each student; revise as necessary.
  • Provide case management for all students involved in the program annually; write case notes regularly to document each student's progress; ensure entry of case notes into the CWDS database (as required)
  • Ensure students visit and register with the PA CareerLink
  • Secure and maintain program supplies and incentive forms in the appropriate student folders.
  • Schedule classes at the Lower Bucks Campus (LBC) and at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC); reserve rooms
  • Arrange for and manage transportation, including handling occasional glitches.
  • Schedule field trips to local manufacturers, in consultation with program coordinator(s), program manager and others
  • Assist student employment opportunities by reaching out to prospective employers, researching internship opportunities and/or job shadowing as appropriate.
  • Act as liaison between high school/tech school contact and BCCC for articulation opportunities.
  • Travel is necessary for the program to school district locations, training facilities, and BCCC campuses. Reliable transportation is required.
  • Occasional time required outside of normal work hours of 8:30 to 4:30.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:
$47,000

Pre-placement physical & driver's license check is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years teaching experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience working with youth.
