    Overview:

    We've partnered up with an exciting start up who are on a mission to radically decarbonise the £500bn cement industry.

    After securing £15m in Series A funding, and constructing a state-of-the-art production facility, they're poised to make a substantial impact on carbon reduction.

    Their team of scientists has developed (and patented) an innovative geopolymer cement that currently emits 85% less carbon than conventional cement.

    Presently, the Commercial and Operational teams are collaborating with some of the world's leading industrial materials companies to expedite the market launch of their patented products.

    They're now seeking a Head of Research & Development to oversee all business units, ensuring consistency, resource prioritisation, and alignment with strategic objectives.

    This is a first of its kind position within the business at its most exciting stage of development.


    What You'll Do:


    Working closely with Chief Scientific Officer, you will be the go-to person for planning and communication across the entire R&D team.

    Overseeing program execution and delivery of R&D objectives, and resource allocation in the Laboratories and between business units.
    Contributing to the formulation and execution of the overarching research strategy.
    Managing and prioritising research workload to optimize resource utilisation.

    Engaging in partnerships with external entities such as universities and research institutions to remain at the forefront of scientific progress.


    The Skills & Experience That You Bring:
    A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    You have a demonstrated history of effectively developing and bringing innovative products to market, spanning from laboratory testing to large-scale industrial implementation (experience in the construction materials sector or cement industry would be highly advantageous).Exhibit outstanding scientific knowledge and possess a thorough understanding of mechanochemical processes for material modification.

    Proven experience (3+ years) in project management and team leadership, preferably within a research and development setting.
    Comprehensive knowledge of research methodologies and best practices.
    Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies such as Gantt charts and Agile principles.
