- Time served / Apprentice Trained Mechanical Fitter or NVQ Level 3 Mechanical
- Knowledge of marine engines and propulsion systems.
- Experience & ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines

Marine Resources are currently recruiting for a number of Mechanical Fitters for a full time permanent position in Wirral, Bromborough.
My client is one of the world's leading designers, manufacturers and maintainers of high-speed workboats from 5m to 25m in length for global defence and security markets.
Operating from two sites in the Northwest of England the organisation currently employs 145 people.The company is now entering a further accelerated growth phase having recently moved to a 6.5 acre waterside shipyard premises and is on target to double the current £20M revenue over next 2 years with its existing order book alone.
The role would suit somebody with experience of assembling new build marine craft. Stripping, overhauling and assembling specialist equipment with experience of problem solving.Knowledge of how to work through engineering problems with a design team. The role
A proven record in Mechanical Fitting covering maintenance/assembly & work on bearings, gearboxes, generators, pumps and other mechanical equipment.
Experience of working on small and large marine craftAbility to work on their own or part of a team
Willing to work overtime as requested by the company
Ability to work within a new build and/ or repair and maintenance environment
Lead, motivate and support their team, instilling a culture of cleanliness, quality and continuous improvement Skills
