- It is essential that the right candidates have previous experience working within the Early Years sector and therefore understand how to support and enhance a child's development in the moment. therefore, a knowledge of the curriculum will be needed to support the right candidate in doing so to be able to link these activities to the developmental milestones and ensure they are age appropriate, however support will be given by the room leader to help with this. This role also requires candidates to be comfortable supporting children with personal care such as toileting, changing clothes and changing nappies whilst continuing to promote the child's dignity and showing them respect.
