    Description

    Commissioning Engineer - Automation Sector

    Join a leading group specialising in intralogistics automation and take ownership of projects from inception to deployment. Shape the future of warehouse efficiency by crafting custom PLC solutions and guiding them through every stage, from initial blueprint to final client handover. This is a progressive company that offers fantastic training in the most cutting-edge robotics and automation technologies for their employees. The role will suit a sharp electrical or commissioning engineer looking to increase their exposure to lucrative PLC technologies in a respected business.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Take part in the full project lifecycle for major brand-name customers in the space of warehouse automation across design, development and deployment
    2. Visit customer sites frequently, with extended stays fully expensed + bonus
    3. Take part in complex commissioning and electrical engineering under project deadlines
    4. Work closely with a fast-paced Engineering team, including the UK managing director
    5. Act as a domain expert in electrical commissioning for customers, acting as the interface between customer and the business

    Requirements:

    1. Commissioned and Installed complex capital equipment such as Robotics, PLCs or similar
    2. 18th Edition Electrical, or 17th considered
    3. HNC, HND, BSc in Electrical or Mechatronics or equivalent
    4. 3+ years of professional experience in a similar field such as process controls, warehouse automation or industrial electrical engineering
    5. SCADA
    6. Full right to work in the UK

    Bonus: PLC software advantageous. The business uses Siemens S7 / TIA portal. Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron is considered relevant experience. Specific industry experience in Warehouse Automation, or a genuine personal interest in this industry.
