Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the Marketing and Events Exec.

role at Highcross Shopping Centre is to support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events that enhance the shopping experience, increase footfall, and drive engagement.


You will play a key role in positioning Highcross as a leading shopping destination through effective digital marketing strategies, compelling events, and innovative promotional initiatives.

By leveraging digital marketing expertise, the Marketing and Events Exec.

will play a pivotal role in reaching and engaging with the target audience in today's digital landscape, ultimately contributing to the overall success and growth of Highcross.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional marketing professional with experience looking after digital and social media platforms on a day to day basis, who would like to have more ownership whilst developing skills and knowledge.

This role is ideal for someone who would like to enhance their marketing skills in a fast-paced retail environment which works operationally within a busy city centre.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Marketing Exec. in the implementation of centre marketing strategy and the execution of campaigns across all digital channels.
  • Support the Senior Marketing Exec. with daytoday digital platform management emarketing, organic social media, CRM, Website Management, and incentre digital screens.
  • Develop and implement the centre's social media strategy, identifying and curating engaging content from within the centre, Community/Social Values, Commercialisation and brands, amplifying across the centre's digital platforms.
  • Management of content within the centre website, to be the main point of contact for retailers and internal team for content curation and work with the website hosting agency to continue to improve the user/customer experience.
  • Liaise with the retail business manager to provide digital marketing support to all retailers where required through Highcross Marketing channels.
  • Deliver regular enewsletter communications in accordance with the marketing strategy to promote key themes, retailers news and upcoming events, whilst growing the CRM database as a tool for segmentation and further communication.
  • Contribute to the drafting of weekly and monthly Marketing Reports and regular Post Campaign Analysis upon completion of events and promotions to share with the management team and centre owners, with ongoing channel reviews and analysis to stay up to date with current trends and results.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing Exec. to develop the brand guidelines & centre proposition across all marcomms.
  • Manage location photography and filming, ensuring all departments are informed and Health and Safety requirements are met.
  • Develop agency relationships and to be the main point of contact for all digital marcomms activity including agencyowned paid social activity, ensuring best ROI.
  • Support the Senior Marketing Exec. with the implementation and management of centre events including some evening and weekend working for events such as student night and Christmas.
  • Provide administrative support where required and work in conjunction with the wider centre team to maintain consistently high standards within the centre.
  • Assist in the production of requisitions for marketing purchase orders and keep a log of all expenditure on the budget tracking system.
  • General support for a busy and energetic marketing team and operation departments
  • To work on centre specific projects as and when required.

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the Centre.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

_Essential _

  • A team player who can also work independently and use their own initiative.
  • Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in event coordination.
  • Analytical mindset to interpret data.
  • Proven experience at delivering projects, to time and on budget.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and able to build relationships across all levels.

Desirable

  • Industry recognised marketing qualification (CIM or degree equivalent).
  • Proven experience in retail marketing environment.
  • Experienced using MailChimp.
Working Hours - 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday (Some weekend working will be expected for event support and lieu can be taken in the week)

Salary - £26,000
