    Description

    HMS requires Gas Engineers to work as part of an integrated team for the delivery of a first-class construction and maintenance service.

    This is an important role in which you will:

    • Carry out the full range of gas appliance activities, including new installations, maintenance, servicing, and remedial works.
    • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems including boilers, heaters, and appliances.
    • Perform diagnostic tests to identify faults in gas systems and equipment, and implement appropriate solutions to resolve issues efficiently.
    • Carry out inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to effectively plan and execute gas engineering projects.
    • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken, including service reports, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and safety protocols to enhance knowledge and skills in gas engineering practices.
    • Read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to carry out installation and repair tasks accurately.
    • Deliver recognised industry standards for compliance, quality, and productivity.
    • Drive a company vehicle.

    To be successful in this role you need:

    • CCN1 or equivalent;
    • CENWAT or equivalent;
    • HTR1 or equivalent;
    • CKR1 or equivalent;
    • CMDDA1 (desirable, but not mandatory).
    • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems and appliances.
    • Experience of Gas policies and procedures.
    • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety.
    • Current full UK or EU driving license.
