Lead Azure SRE / Site Reliability Engineer

£90,000 - £100,000 + benefits

Fully remote - work from anywhere in the UK. Company have been remote for 7 years


A business who builds cutting-edge, "super-greenfield" platforms for world-leading software companies spanning across the Banking, Government, and Investment Management sectors is looking for an experienced Lead Azure Site Reliability Engineer to join theteam.

Currently sitting at 40 employees, this company possess a world-class engineering team, where collaboration is key, and quality of the products they build for customers comes first.


In this role, you will work with the DevOps and Operations teams to conquer engineering best practices, meet release deadlines, and push yourselves to the limit to build incredible platforms within the Microsoft stack.


Responsibilities:


  • Help to build a team of SRE's, over the course of 12 months.
  • Implement and grow monitoring solutions within the organisation.
  • Take responsibility over the reliability and resilience of enterprise level SaaS systems.
  • Work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure cloud services (Azure), run smoothly.
  • Look after SLA's, SLI, and SLO's, taking full responsibility for them.
  • Provide expertise in Azure Cloud Infrastructure services across the board.
  • Design IAC tooling such as ARM, Terraform or Bicep, to enable scalability and reliability.

Skills required:

  • 5+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
  • The ability to be heavily involved in architectural decisions which impact the wider tech team.
  • Be capable of working with DevOps Engineers to ensure smooth continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Deploying a variety of Azure services including App Services, Front Door and Azure SQL.
