    Description

    SCC Flex Contract:

    SC Cleared Software Engineer - £500 per day - Inside IR3- LondonAs a Software Engineer, you will:Execute software tasks from the Sprint Backlog, covering design, development, documentation, and verification, while following company standards and Sprint constraints.

    Provide specialized software knowledge, lead defect investigations, and propose solutions.
    Assist in analysing tasks to ensure a clear understanding of scope and acceptance criteria.
    Complete backlog tasks within estimates or provide new estimates with justification.
    Promptly escalate issues hindering task completion.
    Review and mentor junior team members.
    Ensure thorough testing before task completion.
    Collaborate within the team to achieve Sprint objectives.
    Lead in providing design solutions and estimates for future tasks.
    Ensure adherence to the Project Quality Management System.
    Support independent test teams during integration or system testing.

    The successful Software Engineer will have experience in:
    Proficiency in software life cycle management.
    Experience in Agile development using Scrum and Kanban.
    Ability to deliver high-quality software and documentation with minimal rework.
    Proficiency in providing detailed estimates with risk assessment.
    Experience in functional and Object-Oriented Design engineering.
    Ability to conduct design and code reviews, and unit test inspections.
    Knowledge of C/C++ development on Linux.
    Experience in designing software compliant with Safety and Security Standards.
    Familiarity with tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, and HP ALM.Understanding of system-level architecture and multi-threading.
    Proficiency in Python and Java.
    Experience with service-oriented or distributed systems.
    Exposure to Geospatial Information Systems.
