Compliance Specialist - Liverpool/Hybrid - 6 months
New opportunity for a Compliance SME with our Investment banking client in Liverpool (Hybrid).
Initially this is a 6 month contract at a rate of £597 per day.
We are looking for experienced analysts with a background in back-office trading and surveillance support.

In this role you will work closely with the Strategic Head of Governance and Projects and the Deputy Head of Compliance.

The role is to define and document the current control room activities ahead of the transition of activities to a centralised team.

Responsibilities:

Undertake an assessment of the current Control Room processes
Assess trade scenarios and determine required changes to parameters per instrument type
Review of and alignment of policies to Group requirements
Review and assess the effective of reporting from Liquid Metrix
Liaison with EMEA Traders
Work with central surveillance team
Maintain appropriate and adequate management information to facilitate review and analysis of the key Compliance risks and risk indicators
Liaison with Compliance counterparts across The Bank in EMEA and other subsidiaries to coordinate on regulatory change projects and/or compliance risk.

Requirements:

Experience and understanding of how markets work
Detailed knowledge of trade surveillance/control room activities
Analytical skills
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Good understanding of FCA regulations
Strong experience of interpreting regulations and drafting policies and procedures

Specific MAR experience isn't essential to this role.

Ideally the bank is looking for a compliance specialist able to interpret regulations with the ability to draft policies and procedures.
