Hours:37.5 Hours per Week (Monday - Friday)


Salary:
up to £28,000.00 per annum

Senstronics Ltd is seeking a Stores Supervisor to manage the fast-paced and high volume Stores Department, whilst successfully leading a team of operators to fulfil their shipping duties.

The role presents an exciting opportunity to influence the way in which Senstronics achieves critical output targets and meets customer demands.


Job Purpose:

With full responsibility for the Goods-In, Inventory Management and Shipping functions the Stores
Supervisor will lead and manage the effective operation of Stores, and the team of Stores
Operatives.


Main duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work collaboratively with the Production Controller and Shipping Administrator to plan and execute shipping workflows, achieving the shipping of correct orders in line with On Time
Delivery KPI's.


  • Responsible for commercial invoicing.
  • Manage stock control and inventory rotation.
  • Maintain MRP to ensure stock is correct.
  • Manage Stores in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, to reduce waste and optimise productivity.
  • Collate, analyse and report daily output figures for daily management.
  • Proactively contribute to CI activities and champion opportunities for change.
  • Carry out root cause investigations into discrepancies, making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Responsible for the adherence to Health and Safety legislative and operational requirements.

People Management Responsibility

  • Provide regular communication/briefings with regards to information to enable Stores
Operatives to carry out their roles to maximum effect.


  • Lead and enable the Stores Operatives to achieve all targets and quality standards for all
Stores processes.


  • Accurately complete all required shift documentation for compliance against ISO and site
- specific quality standards. (timesheets, absenteeism, holidays etc).


  • Manage team attendance and implement arrangements for continuity of service during periods of holiday and/or unplanned absence.
  • Ensure all training records and SOP's are up to date.
  • Complete regular review meetings and annual appraisals for Stores Operatives.
  • Manage and resolve day-to-day issues with regards to quality, processes, equipment, materials and team members.
  • Advocate the Core Values and demonstrate associated behaviours.

Other duties:


  • To undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post, as required.
  • Demonstrable experience in a supervisory role, in a logistics/manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of inventory management.
  • Demonstrable experience of strong people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills combined with the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks to maximise shipments.
  • Experience of leading CI and 5S projects.
  • Ability to write and implement SOP's, with delivery of associated training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships across departments in the
Company.

  • Experience of operating a MRP system and inputting/extracting information and data.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • A confident approach to decisionmaking.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Driven by results.
  • Experience of coordinating stocktake and stock rotation activity.
  • Experience of leading and managing change, including capacity building.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, for self and team members.
  • Forklift truck licence.
