Location - Stamford Bridge

Hours - Permanent, 40 hours per week, any 5 of 7 days

We're looking for a Housekeeping Porter to join our hotel team and to be responsible for keeping the assigned areas, equipment, appearance and uniform clean and in order.

Maintain linen supplies and ensure sufficient are available for daily operations. To maintain required productivity and required standards in Housekeeping Department.


Duties include:

  • Ensure there is correct amount of clean linen in assigned cupboards.
  • Keep areas always clean of dirty linen and rubbish.
  • Clean and change any fixtures and fittings as instructed by Supervisor, including the cleaning of balconies.
  • Clean and maintain service areas, corridors, lobby lifts, wall lights and pictures in assigned areas.
  • Be responsible for the changing of heavy curtains, net curtains, shower curtains and valances, when requested.
  • Turn mattresses in each room on assigned floor every three months.
  • Spot clean furniture, carpets and upholstery when requested by Supervisor.
  • Collect bedding and stores when requested by the Supervisor.
  • Report any soiled or damaged furniture, fixtures, fittings, and equipment to the Supervisor.
  • Remove or install furniture in rooms as requested by Supervisor.
  • Be responsible for any keys or bleeps in their possession.
  • Report immediately and hand over all lost property to Supervisor.
  • Report immediately anyone or anything suspicious to security or Supervisor.
  • Report immediately anything that may be a health and safety hazard to the Supervisor.
  • Report any accident (however minor) to the Housekeeping Supervisor or the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
  • Perform any other duties common to all nonsupervisory personnel as/when required.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Housekeeping Management.

Must Haves/qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required:

  • Experience of working in a busy environment
  • Hotel Housekeeping experience is desirable
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Able to work shifts and weekends as required
  • Able to work as a team player
