Description

Senior Care & Support Workers assist the Scheme Manager inrunning the scheme including compliance with the residential carehome regulations, other statutory requirements and company's own policies and procedures.

In the absence of the Scheme Manager, a Senior Care & Support Worker will be responsible for the day-to-daymanagement of the scheme.


Leadership and Management:


  • Contribute to the management team to uphold high standards of care aligned with Company's philosophy.
  • Assist the Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the HousingwithCare Scheme, adhering to Company's policies, Residential Care Home regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Participate in the recruitment, supervision, and training of care staff.
  • Coordinate duty rosters and work methods to ensure adequate staffing levels and attend to individual resident needs.
  • Implement emergency procedures and comply with Health and Safety legislation and Company's policies.
  • Assume responsibility for the daytoday operation of the HousingwithCare scheme, including acting as a deputy for the manager when required.

Best Practice:


  • Support efficient administrative systems in line with Company's policies, overseeing delegated areas of work.
  • Assist in implementing Company's complaints procedure for residents and their families.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a quality service by formulating, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures effectively.

Care of Residents:


  • Implement care plans, with resident consent, addressing their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, and ensure proper documentation, evaluation, and review.
  • Support the catering operation to ensure balanced diets and varied menus reflecting residents' preferences.
  • Liaise with other professionals involved in resident care and facilitate access to health and welfare services.
  • Assist in managing prescribed medicines, including ordering, storage, recording, and administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness, adequate heating, and upkeep of premises, reporting repairs and defects as necessary.
  • Participate in providing handson personal care to residents.

  • Promote and engage in social activities within the scheme following Company's policies and resident preferences.
  • Actively uphold and enhance Company's reputation within the local community.

General:


  • Represent the Association professionally in external engagements.
  • Ensure personal and workplace safety in alignment with Health and Safety policies.
  • Adhere to the Association's Equality Duties and promote compliance.
  • Be flexible regarding working hours and location, including potential mobility to other schemes.
  • Contribute to fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment, free from discrimination or harassment.

Salary:
£16.00-£17.00 per hour
