OCU Hornbill (Part of the OCU Group)currently have a position for an experienced ElectricianWireman. Aswe continue to grow through 2024 this has provided us with anopportunity to grow and develop our workshop based in our Neathdepot.

Duties andResponsibilities:

• Ensurethat all work is carried out in a safe manner that will not presentharm or danger to others and that all company guidelines andprocedures are followed.
• Assembly constructionand wiring of Control Panels as per drawings including use of handtools and cutting of control panel apertures as per drawings. Workto be carried out in accordance with Hornbill Workshop HandoverDocumentation.
• Wiring of Control Panels as perdrawings.
• Work to be completed in allocatedbuild hours.
• Identification of any As builtdrawing discrepancies with Workshop Supervisor or ProjectEngineer.
• Complete control panel wiring checksand system testing in line with our Quality System Testingprocedures.
• Attend site when requested toassist with commissioning ormodifications.
• Assist other departments whenrequired.
• Ensure that all tools and equipmentare stored safely and securely.
• Ensure thattimesheet recording is completed accurately and in a timelymanner.
• Undertake training as required tomaintain or developcompetency.

Key Skillsand Experiencerequired:

• Strongunderstanding of electrical control principles with the ability toread and interpret electricalschematics.
• Communications skills ability tointeract with other skilled trade professionals designers andclients.
• Proficiency in using hand and powertools and testing equipment.
• Ability to workwell individually and as part of ateam.
• Ability to manage time efficiently tomeet project deadlines and complete tasks within the allotted timeframe.
• Attention to detail is vital to ensurehighquality standards and compliance toregulations.
• Mechanical assemblyexperience.
• Busbar fabrication skills aredesirable.
• Pipefitting skills aredesirable.
