    Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer
    £35k-£40k DOE
    North, Liverpool
    Monday – Friday, 08.00am-16.30pm
    (flexibility expected due to business needs)

    Overall Job Purpose of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position :


    • To provide a consistent internal service delivering repair and maintenance of plant machinery for the efficient and effective production of product, resolving, and providing new solutions as required to a wide range of routine and complex issues without supervisory approval.
    To carry out small medium mechanical engineering installations, overseeing all other maintenance applications.
    Key Responsibilities of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position :


    • To respond quickly and efficiently to machine breakdowns, communicating progress to the Manufacturing Manager.
    • Responsible for budget spend up £1000. Seeking approval for spend in excess of this.
    • To complete any preventative plant maintenance, maintain the full appropriate documentation, identifying and escalating any faults they are unable to rectify.
    • Ensure spare parts stock is maintained and re-ordered as required.
    • Ensure quality compliance, completing routine documentation in accordance with manufacturing requirements.
    • Comply with all site polices including HSHE
    • Support the development and training of Apprentices
    • Responsible for all electrical/ mechanical contractors in site including all documentation e.g. Systems of Work, Permit to work. Risk assessments etc.
    Qualifications/Courses/Experience of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position :


    • NVQ 4 /HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • Previous experience of mechanical engineering maintenance in a manufacturing environment is essential.
    Essential Skills of Electro /Mechanical Maintenance Site Engineer position :


    • Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Mechanical, Pneumatic and Welding
    • IOSH, COSHH
    • Operational Fault Finding
    • Work independently and part of a team.
    • Deliver results, deliver improved performance.
    • Demonstrate commercial awareness.
    • Manage self, working/assisting internal customers/ external contractors obtaining their involvement and buy in.
    • Coach and develop, providing structured and consistent feedback.
