Purpose of Job:

To control the work for a team of self-employed drivers.

Responsibilities

Daily catch up with all drivers under 4 week start period
Build a rapport with drivers enabling on going coaching and development
To be aware of individual driver's skills and abilities
Feedback to Management any in flight issues
Make outbound calls to promote good practice with regards to day to day task and challenges faced
Manage data base of all new drivers releasing to the main driver population when driver is competent and familiar with all BCAL processes.
Be open to new ways of working to promote good practice and working relationships between departments.
Enforce BCA Logistics' driver code of conduct to ensure a smart professional work force
Inform recruitment of any leavers
Proactively try to reduce the amount of leavers
Inform operations of any problems or delays
Liaise with administration department to resolve driver paperwork queries
Deal with and resolve / signpost complaints from drivers
Such other duties as may reasonably be requested
