An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Teacher Balgreen Primary School. The post will commence from 12th August . We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with leadership and management experience.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of providing high quality learning and teaching, be skilled in raising attainment through strong practice in planning and assessments and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.
The candidate should have relevant experience of building nurturing and supportive relationships with pupils, leading initiatives, supporting colleagues and collaborative working.
It is desirable that the candidate has experience in collaborating with professionals through the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) approach to ensure that the needs of every child are met with pupil wellbeing at the heart.
In addition to the teaching commitment for this post, you will play a key role in the school leadership team and have additional responsibility including curriculum development, policy development and promoting leadership at all levels.

The school is led by a management team consisting of a Head Teacher, a Depute Head Teacher and a Business Manager. There are fourteen classes led by a mix full time and part time class teachers and two Support for Learning Teachers. Management and teachers are all ably supported by a team of Pupil Support Assistants, a Nurture Pupil Support Officer, a part time School Administrator and a clerical assistant and a Facilities Technician.
