We are hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, responsible for providing Identity & Digital Encryption services to the DWP user base. The role includes out-of-hours support on a paid rota basis.

Job description

The Identity team manages internal authentication within the DWP infrastructure, focusing on Active Directory/Entra ID and supporting components like DNS, Certificate Services, Modern Authentication (MFA, WHfB), and Single Sign-On technologies. They also support a custom Identity Management platform integrated with ServiceNow and enterprise security systems.

As service owners, the team is responsible for operational support, design elements, and an ongoing service enhancement roadmap that includes cloud service utilization.

Person specification

Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, and SSO technologies
Knowledge in scripting languages for automation such as PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI
Experience with Privileged Access Management systems and RBAC
Expertise in Windows Server Security, Monitoring, and Vulnerability Management
Background in large enterprise settings and multi-supplier environments

Salary Information

Salary range from £40,201 to £43,347 with potential Digital Allowance for exceptional candidates. Offer based on skills and experience demonstrated at interview.

Location

Applicants must be able to travel to their office within a reasonable time daily. Role available only in the UK, no overseas work.

Hybrid Working
