Pay will range from £ per day dependant on experience. If travelling from Hull to Scunthorpe, Humber bridge toll will be paid.


Working hours:
part time/ full time considered

About the role:
An unmissable opportunity has arisen for a science teacher to join a Grammar School in the Scunthorpe area. The role is to cover KS3 & KS4 science. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT to develop their career as well as more experiencedteachers.

The appointed person will be required to teach across KS3, KS4, and all ability ranges, however, as the school have entry requirements, the calibre of students is generally higher than average.

Skills/experience:

  • Possess a PGCE certificate.
  • DBS on the update service (although if no current DBS is available this can be applied for via REED).
  • Previous experience of teaching science in a secondary mainstream environment although the post is suitable for newly qualified teachers with QTS.
  • Understanding of the National curriculum covering the core disciplines of physics, chemistry and biology.
