Machine Setter / Operator - Stonehouse

We are looking to recruit a Machine Shop Setter / Operator for machining and in - process inspection of customer product.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

To prepare and machine customers components to meet drawing / specification requirements.
In process inspection of customer product.
Movement of work to the correct designated areas around the shop floor.
Ensure machines are operated according to site and manufacturers recommendations.
Monitoring and reporting on all material effecting processing.
Stripping of flat bed components, as required.
Calibration of site equipment.
Cleaning / Filing of flat bed components as per customer specification e.g. additional edge preparation.
Loading & unloading of the sealing tank and completion of sealing tank records.
Control / stock check of section consumables.
Machine set up, grinding od's and polishing of cylindrical components.
Keep Site Head of Quality informed about site operation and problems.
Follow and Comply with all quality system requirements relevant to Job Description
Keep the working environment clean and tidy and practise good housekeeping / 5S Techniques

Education, skills & experience

Previous experience in Turning / drilling / milling / CNC / lathes / grinding
General education required with good numerate skills
Good attention to detail, and problem solving skills
Ability to read engineering drawings advantageous

Full time, permanent role

Once trained will move on to a double days shift pattern

Early - 6am - 2pm Mon to Thurs (6am - 1pm Fri)

Lates - 2.00pm pm Mon to Thurs (1pm - 6pm Fri)

£29,110 per annum + shift allowance of 20%
