Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Mon-Thur / Fri


Salary:
Up to £12.00

Job Overview


The key role of Goods in Co-ordinator will be based in Unit 6 and will be responsible for the Control of stock coming into the Unit 6 Warehouse.

They will be responsible for organising the offloading and receipt of materials, the putting away of materials and following up any discrepancies at point of delivery.

They will be required to liaise with Purchasing to follow up on any item problems and will be responsible for ensuring all items have stock codes before receipt.

The ability to speak to suppliers to resolve issues and organise staff is key.

Guidance and direction will be given by the warehouse Manager along with any training that is deemed necessary to maintain competence in the role.

They will also be required to Participate in Departmental Improvement projects and stocktakes.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checking off deliveries at point of receipt
  • Receipt of deliveries using the WMS
  • Dealing with Significant Discrepancies and reporting these to the relevant persons
  • Ensure Items do not move from Goods In without being scanned
  • Interrogating the Stock File for Goods In daily to ensure it is current and up to date
  • Liaising with the Purchasing Department, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager and suppliers to effectively deal with any issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy goods in area
  • Championing health and safety within the department

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • The ability to accurately Check Stock into the warehouse
  • Good levels of communication to liaise with staff and suppliers
  • Reporting skills to collate findings and report these to the Warehouse Manager
  • The ability to solve issues when required regarding Goods In related issues
