The post holder will be required to perform a wide range of radiographic procedures to a high standard and provide professional support to colleagues, radiographic, radiological, nursing and all other staff groups.
The post holder will supervise, support and assist students and newly qualified radiographers in service delivery and personal development.To perform a wide range of radiographic procedures across a variety of complex clinical presentations and pathologies, including Cone Beam CT scans to a required standard.
To prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.To ensure that all data inputs are accurately recorded in order to maintain the integrity of data for both patients and service.
To provide professional support, supervision and assistance to qualified radiographers and other staff in service delivery and personal development.
To ensure professional practice, and that of the service, is maintained and extended through participation in Continuous Professional Development.
Prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.Enter accurate patient examination data into Imaging Information Systems e.g. Accurately position patients for the appropriate examinations, taking into account their abilities, needs and limitations.
Ensure that unexpected abnormalities seen are brought to the attention of the medical staff of the department, and the referring clinician, and that the patient is managed in an appropriate and supportive manner.
Work unsupervised, seeking advice from colleagues and senior radiographic or medical staff when required.HCPC Qualified or qualification in diagnostic radiography
At least 6 months previous experience in NHS & Radiology department in last 3 years
Strong initiative and commitment to mentoring talent, acting as a role model and resource to junior staff
