Are you a Children's Physiotherapist with substantial experience at a senior level looking for the next step in your career?

Are you passionate about providing and developing excellent services for children and young people?

If so Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated and determined Team Leader for the Children's Therapy Service to ensure that children, young people and families get the best possible care and treatment when accessing our services.

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated careorganisation with a budget of approximately 600 million and over 7,000 staff.

Diversity and social care is at the core of what we do as the Trust provides Community and Acute Services to over half a million people in an urban centre that demands massive regeneration and has substantial premature mortality.

Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opens in 2024 and will provide care to our local population from first class, purpose-built premises.

The development of the new hospital will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.

The Therapy Service sits within an integrated Acute and Community Directorate that sits within the Women & Children's Group. The Children's Therapy Service consist of, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech & Language therapists.

If you possess strong leadership and management qualities, feel you can commit to our Trust and Directorate vision, would like to work in a welcoming and supportive environment
A degree (or diploma) in Physiotherapy from a recognised training establishment.
MSc in Physiotherapy or related clinical area

Significant post-graduate and post-competency experience working with children in a variety of settings, with a range of Paediatric conditions.

Experience of participating in clinical service development in response to local and national priorities involving research, audit, and user feedback.

Experience of participating in the delivery and development of training to a variety of recipients, both professional and non-professional.

Experience of working with assistants, students, newly qualified therapists, and others as appropriate.
Evidence of completion of Leadership or Management training
