    Description

    Head Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal

    Full Time, Part Time, Flexible

    Up to £33,000 depending on experience, plus up to £3,000 Relocation Allowance and up to £2,000 Welcome Bonus

    We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Registered Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our team across three Inverness practices.

    In this crucial role, you will supervise nurse consultations, theatre nursing, and inpatient care, while managing a team of veterinary care assistants and a dispensary assistant.

    • Supervise and mentor veterinary care assistants, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to best practices.
    • Oversee rota management, holiday scheduling, and performance appraisals for nursing staff.
    • Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, meeting regulatory requirements.

    Facilitate regular team meetings and training sessions to encourage collaboration and professional development.

    Manage inventory and stock control processes, working with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies.
