We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Supply Chain individual to join our team in Manchester.

In this role you will lead manage the P2P team and Sourcing Manager.

Develop and implement improvement projects within the Procurement function to drive efficiencies, reduce costs and add value through strategic relationships.

This is a full time staff role with NG Bailey.


Responsibilities:


  • Effective team management and development of the P2P function, ensuring alignment with, and delivery of the operational business needs for the procurement and supply chain function.
  • Provide engaging and authentic leadership in all aspects of your role. Provide clear direction to the supply chain team through provision of objectives, responsibilities and accountabilities, managing performance accordingly.
  • Promote a culture in the P2P team that encourages process improvement and agree and deliver improvements that support the Group Business requirements. Ensure the business is seen as a customer and engage to gain feedback to set improvement objectives.
  • Establish national Category Management approach to maximise value from our Supply Chain Relationships. Develop and deliver a relationship matrix model. Personally manage key supplier relationships and ensure stakeholder engagement in these.
  • Unlock value beyond cost in these relationships reciprocal arrangements. Ensure Regional supply chain events are delivered in a consistent, innovative and proactive manner.
  • Work with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure early engagement and commitment to support our strategic bids, ensuring commercial advantage sits within the bid.
  • Strong process improvement background with demonstrable track record of improvements and change management. Development of alternative ordering systems and improvements to in house MyMaterials system.
  • Responsible for developing a businesswide Procurement Dashboard covering rebate, spend, supplier performance, savings & leading indicators. Familiar with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Establish a "light" category management approach for key categories. Manage relationships and ensure quarterly reviews are held with recorded actions and outcomes.
  • Deliver the supply chain strategy in partnership with the operational teams across all regional projects and tender opportunities.
  • Ensure the procurement team lead and own project procurement strategies and that procurement schedules are kept accurate and up to date and that they feed into the aggregation schedule.
  • Strong track record of project management and delivery of change programmes.
  • Manage rebate reporting & collection. Ensure rebate leakage is minimised. Ensure all price files are maintained and that these flow through to Estimating and Work Winning.
  • Capture savings and report on these to better inform work winning. Manage and deliver a monthly Commodity pricing schedule to inform the business
  • Demonstrates good understanding of P&L and can articulate the value that Procurement can deliver to support this.
Experience

  • Experience in effectively leading a centralised procurement team and have specific category management experience in order to meet Group targets and operational delivery requirements.
  • Strong Change management expertise with clear examples of where this has been delivered.
  • Experience of strategic procurement and supply chain management to support work winning, operational delivery and delivery of best possible cost vs value outcomes.
  • Relevant degree or significant equivalent procurement and supply chain experience
