    Description
    Mechanical Supervisor

    Our client offers a unique end-to-end service, covering needs assessment, solution definition, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and aftercare of water and wastewater treatment assets.

    They are expanding their delivery team and seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to cover the South and Midlands regions.


    Plan, supervise, and assist with on-site mechanical installation works for wastewater and water treatment plants, including scraper bridges and fabricated products.


    • Ensure all activities are planned, coordinated, and conducted safely in compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.
    • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of systems to meet British, ISO, and client standards.
    • Liaise with project managers/engineers on project aspects.
    • Induct onsite personnel, subcontractors, and visitors.
    • Communicate method statements, risk assessments, and procedures to onsite personnel.
    • Conduct toolbox talks and maintain training records.
    • Address defects in plant and equipment promptly and ensure proper PPE is worn.
    • Report accidents, incidents, and near misses to Project Manager/Engineer.
    • Maintain good housekeeping and implement emergency plans when necessary.
    • Record and close non-conformances for projects.
    • Apply industry best practices to ensure quality outcomes.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and contractors.
    • Comply with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work Plans.
    • Complete daily reports and uphold company HSQE policies.
    • Experience in planning, supervising, and carrying out steelwork assembly, welding, and site mechanical works.
    • Training/qualifications in coded welding, steel fixing, or similar.
    • Strong focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
    • Electrical awareness and training advantageous.
    • Experience within the UK water industry preferred.
    • Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight stays.
    • Full driving licence.
