    Are you ready to lead one of the UK's most renowned festivals to new heights? We're working with a client that is looking for a visionary Festival Director to spearhead the planning, execution, and overall success of their premier event.

    As a key executive within the organization, reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their festival experience.

    They are a dynamic entertainment organisation dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for their audience. With a focus on innovation, creativity, and excellence, they pride ourselves on delivering world-class events that captivate and inspire.

    As the Festival Director, you'll be responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of their flagship event.

    From overseeing day-to-day operations to leading strategic initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the festival's success.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the festival, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive business plan, including budgeting, revenue generation, and cost management.
    • Lead crossfunctional teams to deliver exceptional experiences for attendees, sponsors, and partners.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, vendors, and community partners.
    • Monitor and evaluate festival performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance overall effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, prioritizing safety and sustainability initiatives.

    Financial Management & Performance Improvement:

    • Develop and manage budgets to optimise resource allocation and drive financial performance.
    • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings, implementing strategies to maximise profitability.
    • Track key performance indicators and metrics, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

    Festival Curation, Operations & Organisation:

    • Lead the festival planning process, from conceptualisation to execution, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all activities.
    • Oversee all aspects of festival operations, including venue logistics, vendor management, and attendee services.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to curate engaging content and experiences that resonate with our audience.
    • Champion innovation and creativity, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, leveraging insights to enhance our festival offering and stay ahead of the competition.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 6 years' experience in event management, with a proven track record of success in leading largescale festivals or events.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and performance analysis.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
