The applicant may also have aspirations of senior leadership in the near future. The Curriculum Leader should be an exemplar of both leadership and teaching skills and lead the improvement of curriculum design and implementation across the department through effective support, monitoring and evaluation of colleagues. The Curriculum Leader will work to develop both the strategic vision for Art across the school alongside a clear plan on how this can be successfully implemented and monitored. The successful candidate will be:

- Knowledgeable of the Art curriculum in order to support curriculum design and improved outcomes.
- Committed to the highest standard of achievement for all students.
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills to support the development of staff.
- An outstanding communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- An enthusiastic team-player, self-motivated and committed to further professional development.
- Be able to model outstanding planning, assessment and teaching in order to support staff in the school team to achieve high quality teaching over time.
