Assistant Buyer

Job Overview
To ensure the company obtains the best possible prices, quality of material, delivery times
and payment terms for all items purchased.


Main Activities/Tasks

  • Ensure that all materials are sourced, ordered and delivered in a timely and cost
effective manner to meet weekly production requirements.

  • Monitor Vendor Performance in terms of reporting any failures in quality of materials,
delivery, price and other aspects of the supply chain.

  • Administrative duties for Senior Buyer.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above
  • Strong Organisational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst paying particular attention to details
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office including Excel.

Desirable Criteria:

Due to the nature of the role preference will be given to applicants demonstrating the


following desirable criteria:

  • Previous Purchasing admin/assistant experience
