Job Purpose: To make considered judgements regarding technical and development matters relating to transport and flooding.
To represent the Roads and Infrastructure point of view in relation to development proposals.
To consider and approve applications for Road Construction Consent.
To communicate effectively with developers, planning officers, elected Members and the public regarding the transport implications of new development.
To supervise junior members of staff undertaking development management and roads construction consent.

Requirements
Qualification at an appropriate level: HNC/ HND/ Degree in Civil Engineering or subject related to roads development management.
Membership of an appropriate professional body. Working towards (Assistant Technician level) or gained (Technician/ Senior Technician level) Professional qualification at EngTech or IENG (ICE/ CIHT) or equivalent.
Valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively
between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational
requirements of the Service.
