    Description

    Quality Control Inspector - Nuclear Industry

    Requirements and Responsibilities:

    • Security Clearance: The ability to obtain BPSS is essential for this role.
    • Promote a strong safety culture within the nuclear sector.
    • Ensure that quality standards for the joint venture and clients are consistently met and compliant with specifications.
    • Encourage continuous improvements throughout the project.
    • Promote and implement the Project Quality Management System and Joint Venture processes.
    • Engage with project construction and suppliers in accordance with ITP's to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
    • Proficient in nuclear fabrication specifications and material certification review.
    • Participate in audit activities both at supplier works and on-site.
    • Provide timely, effective, and concise reporting.
    • Advocate for a disciplined approach to supplier deliverable approval and concurrent review of quality records.

    Essential Experience & Qualifications:

    Experience in Sellafield/nuclear industry in a QA or QC function with progression to QA through lead audit and CQI membership.

    Supervision of subcontractors, compilation, and review of lifetime records. Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Sellafield CQRM.

    • CSWIP qualified Welding Inspector 3.1 or 3.2
    • PCN Level II qualified in LPI/MPI/RI/U/T
    • Painting Inspector qualified, Iccor Level 2 or equivalent
    • NEBOSH/IOSH/CCNSG Safety Passport training
    • Understanding and experience working within a team culture and Joint Venture environment

    Design Tools / Software:

    Proficiency in General MS Office package.
