Is Health education and prevention your passion? Are you able to support patients with their sexual health needs? Then look no further as an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sexual Health Advisor-Team Lead within Sexual Health Hertfordshire.
This is a full time position based within Hatfield Sexual Health Clinic, although the successful applicant would be expected to work across site to support all the main sexual health hubs.
You will manage and lead a team of health advisers.You will be able to provide advanced sexual health advice, information, education, and counselling to patients diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infections including HIV, providing effective partner notification for STI's and HIV to fulfil a public health role by encouraging the attendance and treatment of the contacts of patients.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner, which involves planning and carrying a caseload, counselling support and behavioural change interventions which include risk assessment and complex case management of patients.

To provide advice, information, education, and counselling to patients diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection
Obtain a patient medical and sexual history in a systematic manner, including physical, social, emotional, psychological, and environmental factors.
NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) first level orCQSW qualification or Relevant Public Health Qualification to MSC degree level
Contraception and sexual health qualification or relevant courses (e.g., BASHH STI foundation intermediate competency)
ENB 998 or equivalent training/mentoring certificate
Psychosexual counselling
