£35.62 per hour PAYE or £45 per hour Limited rate paid via an Umbrella company inside IR35

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Planner.


In the role of lead officer, to provide input and lead on aspects of the Local Development Framework in relation to the identified strategic development areas and other specialisms as applicable, to help influence and shape the future growth of Swindon in line with the Council's Priorities and Vision.

This also involves leading on the production of relevant plans, policies, masterplans, guidance and supplementary planning documents and involvement in the consultation process, monitoring and review including research, evidence gathering, formal responses and presentation at examinations.


In addition, the role requires the promotion of placemaking and multidisciplinary working in the pursuit of securing high quality in the built and natural environment.

As such, the role expects the post holder(s) to be committed to collaborative working across a diverse range of projects, both statutory and proactive work, to be multi-skilled and to preferably have a specialism in an additional related discipline.
