    Description
    Financial Services Application Support/C++/Python/SQL

    Global Financial Technology Industry leader has an immediate need for a Trading Applications Support Analyst to join their growing team. The individual in this business-facing role will partner with trading teams and internal stakeholders to provide excellent Level 2/3 application support.

    The candidate will be focused on day-to-day support and implementation of trading applications, documentation and the creation of new tools. The candidate will take system design direction from senior engineers and senior development staff.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitors all trading application functionality and the performance of the environment.
    • Provides second-level support that troubleshoots incidents and requests escalated by the business. Equally, engages where required in the Problem Management process.
    • Manages installation requests, upgrades and enhancements of trading applications.
    • Enhances trading applications with third-party tools and applications in staging and production environments.
    • Uses SQL to automate installation, monitoring and gathering of relevant data that supports trading systems.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills including deploying software and writing functional procedures.
    • Hands on C++, Python, and SQL development skills are required.
    • Level 2/3 front office trading/Application Support experience end users in the financial services industry is required.
    • Ability to function as an individual contributor within a collaborative, team environment.
    • Ability to partner across lines of business and with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of the financial services industry and multi asset trading.
    • Experience supporting low latency trading environments is required
    • Knowledge of SQL (T-SQL, SQL Server Management Services)

    Desired Skills/Experience:

    • Automation tools (Ansible, TFS, Jenkins)
    • Experience supporting applications written in C, C++, or Java is a major plus.
    • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • SQL Server administration (e.g. database management, tracing)
    • IIS / web service technologies / encryption certification
    • ITIL certification
