Description
The client is a global B2B publishing and events business that serves the automotive industry.


They have a legacy in print publishing that has evolved to include physical events, with products that now include livestreams, webinars, digital editions, podcasts, digital events, conferences and much more.


They are now looking to recruit for a
Deputy Editor, to produce compelling B2B editorial content for audiences specific to automotive logistics and supply chain management primarily for Automotive Logistics.

You will lead on all writing of original news stories and newsletter curation as well as interviews, and features.


You will also support content production and commissioning across all channels and products, including online, print, events, livestreams, newsletters, social media, sponsored content and special projects.

You will sit in a team of 3 including an, Assistant Editor, Editor and Chief Editor.

This is a full time permanent opportunity paying up to £40k basic salary plus hybrid working, 2 days in office (Offices: Hammersmith)


Responsibilities:


  • Lead on producing news and analysis and compiling newsletters, along with features and interviews
  • Frequently interview senior automotive decision makers and key experts for online, events, print, video and podcast
  • Edit, upload and oversee content from internal and external contributors, and keep website homepage and landing pages up to date
  • Explore new topics and potential areas of expansion for audience growth and development
  • Support sales & marketing teams on analysis, copy and insight which helps expand reach of products, generate sales, increase subscriptions, registrations and delegates.

The Person:


  • Ideally but not limited to logistics, automotive, manufacturing or industrial sectors
  • Keen interest and ability to understand target audiences, especially for B2B, with specific knowledge of logistics a plus
  • Experience subbing and editing B2B editorial content at fast pace
  • Strong understanding of online platforms and publishing tools, including content management systems and SEO strategy
  • Strong interviewing skills
