About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and edit existing CNC programs, select the correct tooling to complement alterations within the process.
- Upload / Download programs, set machines and monitor/inspect production alter tool offsets and operate the machine until batch is complete.
- Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace tooling when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine.
- Produce components accurate to drawing.
- Ensure all work; tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of ISO 900
- Ensure paperwork is complete in an accurate and timely manner.
- Take responsibility for the work area ensuring high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Demonstrate good team working ethic and commitment to highest quality standards
- Always follow health and safety requirements

Reporting Relationships
Manager
Machine Shop Supervisor
Size of team/environment
Working in a team of 18 in one of the most advanced machine shops in the UK
Your Qualifications
- Good standard of secondary education
- College qualification in an engineering discipline or,
- Industry experience of a working machine shop is essential
- Mid/High volume manufacturing experience is desirable
- Ideally Milling experience
- Time served apprenticeship
- CNC Machine Centre experience
- Experience working on the following types of machines
- Machining Centre
- Mazak machining centers
- Understanding of SPC
