About the role
To support the Credit Control Manager and Accounts Manager to control Draeger's finances and accounting records specifically for accounts receivable in accordance with external and internal regulatory requirements.
- Posting & allocation of cash.
- Reviewing blocked orders daily and liaising with Account Mangers and customers.
- Maintaining reconciled AR ledgers and meeting month end deadlines.
- Liaising with customers & resolving customer queries, where there are billing queries and/or disputed amounts, the Credit Controller will manage the problem, understand, and collate the reasons why it has occurred, implement a suitable solution, and enable prompt payment once resolved.
- Assessing credit risk of new & old customers, processing opening of accounts & maintaining system master data.
- Entering of invoices on to various customer portals.
- Occasional training of new team members.
- Issuing weekly debtor reports, query resolution spreadsheets & liaising with relevant departments.
- Taking credit card payments.
- Running of Statements & Dunning Reports.
Your Qualifications
- A qualification within accounts/finance would be an advantage.
- A sound working knowledge of the role of a Credit Control function is essential
- Working knowledge of SAP Operating System & Microsoft Office Packages is essential
- Excellent problemsolving skills and an ability to deal with some ambiguity, albeit decisions are often guided by a framework of policies and procedures.
- Interpersonal communications skills necessary to participate in group meetings and one to one contact with both internal and external customers.
- Team Player as well as being able to work alone and use own initiative.
- Ability to plan and prioritize a very busy work schedule.
- Confidentiality.
- Numerate, diligent, and flexible with capability of working on own initiative to strict reporting deadlines.
- Eye for detail.
