The Job Responsibilities

Full management accountability for Safety Respiratory and Protective Systems (SRPS) Program Team (Project Manager and Life Cycle Manager, System Engineers) for all products in the portfolio Define, implement and improve processes, methods and tools for Program Management SRPS Provide a program strategy for SRPS UK in alignment with Product Management and Head of R&D which delivers profitable growth of the SRPS portfolio.

Definition and implementation of building competency strategies for all roles. Definition and implementation of building Program Management infrastructure. Lead and develop the team. Represent Program Management SRPS UK in the global organization and contribute to global strategies. Create and maintain reliable and robust resource plans. Implement global strategies in the company across functions in the area of product development. Support key projects in the area of Research and Development. Develop and implement strategies and initiatives for continuous improvement of SRPS Program UK/Global.

Plan and manage resources and budgets for the responsible cost centre Provide resources for product development projects and Life Cycle activities Cooperate and build relationships with internal and external partners.


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Science is essential
  • Degree in a business related field is desirable
  • Charted Status (Professional Institute) preferred such as PMI, APM or PRINCE
  • Previous experience, typically gained over 5 years or more of professional experience in leadership of teams (> 10 employees) in an R&D environment
  • Significant depth of knowledge of Project Management / Life Cycle Management
  • Significant depth of knowledge of processes in R&D new product development projects and Life Cycle activities
  • Good knowledge in Engineering Disciplines (Mechanic, Electronics, Software)
  • Proven track record of defining and implementing the building of competencies
