Join us as our NWM Risk & Control Reporting and Governance Lead

  • We're looking for someone to lead NWM risk and control environment reporting, including the CEC process, and risk and control report automation
  • Daytoday, you'll direct the NWM Operating Committee to set the agenda with the NWM COO and to lead exec level meetings

What you'll do
In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting management with their accountabilities and risks. This includes leading other Risk and Control Committees for client
- and market-facing businesses. You'll also support a culture of proactive and pre-emptiverisk management and improvement.
You'll be the point of contact for FCA documentation for senior managers within COO and client
- and markets-facing businesses. Working with senior stakeholders across the bank, you'll also drive the development of remedial action plans, where identified risksare considered out of appetite.

Additionally, we'll expect you to:

  • Focus on the attainment of operational risk objectives and regularly engage with relevant stakeholders, including the second and third line of defence and risk teams
  • Coach and support colleagues across our bank to improve understanding and embed a proactive risk culture
  • Analyse risk reporting and metrics used to inform decisionmaking
  • Educate teams on the operational risk framework and our conduct risk obligations while supporting the business in operating and embedding them
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholder satisfaction by delivering risk and control actions in a timely manner

The skills you'll need

You'll also need excellent communication skills in order to lead the team, as well as being able to negotiate with, and influence, stakeholders across an organisation.


You'll also need:

  • Knowledge of the enterprisewide risk management framework
  • An understanding of the existing risk and control environment
  • The ability to engage leaders and influence the direction of thought to make improvements to existing approaches
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies
  • Significant business and operational experience
