- Coordinates work with other engineers and operating groups to facilitate participation of various organisational units
- Submits high quality project documentation for gate approval with all required information in accordance with Tronox Project Management process
- Ensures relevant engineering/regulatory standards are adhered to
- Manages and participate in the design, planning, construction, supervision and commissioning of project portfolio
- Assists in the development of scopes of works to enable effective contractor management
- Coordinates and manages internal/contract labour undertaking project activities
- Ensures that project data including drawings, relevant procedures and specifications are enforced and updated as required
- Acts as Principal Designer on assigned projects under the Construction (Design & Management) regulations 2015
- Develops and implements departmental strategies, complementary systems, controls and procedures in support of the above
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline (Mechanical, Instrument/Electrical)
- Chartered Status
- Ability to act as Principal Designer under CDM
- Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, preferably NEBOSH Construction certificate qualified
- 10 Years project management experience (from a Client's perspective), built upon a solid project engineering background, with significant knowledge of contracts management and forms of contract.
- Experience of managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project for schedule management
- Working knowledge of SAP related to Capital Projects (Project Systems)
- Ability to manage budgets to meet project objectives
- Significant knowledge and experience in Budget and Programme Management
- Relevant Engineering experience within the Chemical sector or related industry preferred
- Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills, strong ability to engage and influence others

The Role
Based at our Stallingborough site, reporting to the Technology and Improvement (T&I) Projects Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of major capital projects at the Stallingborough Site. Managing either in house engineering team or external design resources. Ensuring that the business case is appropriate and the proposed engineering solution is fit for purpose. At all times ensuring that good project management practices are employed and that statutory and in house standards are complied with.
