    Maintenance Technician / Skilled Handy-Person


    Forte Recruitment Solutions are looking for an experienced maintenance technician / handy-person to join our client based within central Basingstoke.

    The successful Maintenance Technician will be working 40 hours per week.

    Monday - Friday 8.They will also be required to work alternate weekends with a fixed rest day off during the week.

    72 per hour whilst training, with an uplift to £12.62 per hour once fully trained.

    Overtime is paid at time & and quarter and bank holiday's are paid at time and a half with a day off in lieu.

    The successful Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following:
    • * Maintaining the facilities, equipment, and premises.
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly checks to be undertaken of the mechanical handling equipment, warehouse & building.
    • Completing all building repairs which include, fixtures, fittings,plumbing, electrical and painting & decorating.
    • Co-ordination and organisation of visiting contractors.
    • General daily maintenance duties to maximise equipment in order for the production team to deliver efficient operations.
    The successful Maintenance Technician would need to have the following skill sets:
    • * Ability to work alone and use own initiative.
    • Previous use of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms - is an advantage but not essential.
    • Counterbalance Forklift and/or Pallet Truck Licence - is an advantage but not essential.
