Looking for an experienced and self-motivated
Service Desk Analyst / Support Desk Engineer to provide 1st line reporting and proven customer service skills.

You would be working for an organisation that is well known across the communityfor treating their employees well and having a great atmosphere to work within.


This role requires active SC clearance.


Shift work doing 14 X 12 hour shifts in a 28 day pattern.

Rate = £360 Inside IR35

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and manage Major Incidents during nights and weekends when on shift
  • To be able to coordinate all parties during major problems and outages, ensuring actions are taken and users are updated on a regular basis
  • Ensuring that problems are escalated to Support or Management as required.
  • Produce shift and online daily reports highlighting the points for attention for escalation.
  • Ensure scheduled changes are implemented / backed out as per instructions.
  • Monitoring of batch, calling support and logging details as appropriate.
  • Monitoring systems and highlighting anomalies

Essential Skills:


  • Experience of Major Incidents and understanding of the management process
  • Good organisational skills
  • An appreciation of when to take decisions and when to escalate
  • Proven customer service skills, and experience of dealing with difficult customer issues
  • A positive attitude towards teamwork
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure.
  • Good understanding of processes and procedures and the important way in which they contribute to the ROC environment.
