Description
The Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Training and Development Officer is a new role in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, spanning both of our academic Schools to support and develop our Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) colleagues in key software and systems needed to successfully enable the processes required to take our students from applicants to graduates.
The post-holder will:
Lead and coordinate the design and delivery of training to staff supporting Teaching, Learning and Student Experience in the delivery of critical business activities that comprise the student journey, such as assessment and progression, programme and curriculum management, student support, advice and guidance across the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
Work closely with the University's Learning and Organisational Development team, and with other key stakeholders to develop effective training modules and programmes comprising written, classroom and online components.
Work with leaders in Professional Services (PS), to embed locally and University-wide a culture of excellent service provision and continuous improvement, placing the student experience at the heart of what we do, with support for a single PS team working flexibly across organisational boundaries.
Work closely with Professional Services Colleagues in our Directorate of People and Organisational Development and be part of relevant communities of practice.
