    Computer Science Teacher:

    A great opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or qualified educator looking for a refreshing change.

    Protocol Education is collaborating with a school in North Bristol seeking to hire an innovative Computer Science teacher. They are in search of a candidate who is enthusiastic and well-versed in the subject, capable of creating dynamic lessons for this challenging subject in today's world. As a Computer Science teacher, you will be instructing students across KS3 and KS4, shaping the overall curriculum within the department to establish fundamental concepts and enhance a variety of I.T skills for each student, equipping them with I.T literacy for their future endeavors.

    Your primary role and duty as a Computer Science teacher will involve delivering engaging, inspiring, and high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all students, while also contributing to the success of the department and the school.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A recognized teaching qualification or relevant degree.
    • Completed secondary school teaching training.
    • Strong subject knowledge, including: programming, computational thinking, Logic, Boolean Logic, computer systems architecture, number systems (binary and denary), e-safety, and coding.
    • Familiarity with assessment methods to enhance student learning.
    • Excellent communication abilities.
    • Vision, enthusiasm, and a deep passion for the subject and education.
    • Effective behavior and classroom management skills.
    • Capability to build positive, professional relationships with colleagues and students.

    Job specifics:

    Secondary school teaching

    Hours: 08:30-3:30pm

    Contract: Full time - part-time options available
