    Description
    Computer Science Teacher:

    A fantastic opportunity for an ECT or qualified teacher whos looking for a change.

    Protocol Education are working alongside a school in North Bristol who are looking to appoint an inspiration teacher of Computer Science. They are on the look out for a candidate who is passionate and knowledge about their subject, someone who can create engaging learning for a demanding subject in this modern world. As a Computer Science teacher you will be teaching across KS3 + KS4, outlining the bigger picture for the curriculum within the department - to develop core concepts and develop a range of I.T skills for each student - allowing them to become I.T literate to prepare them for their future lives.

    Your main role and responsibility as a teacher of Computer Science will be to provide engaging, inspirational and high quality teaching and learning opportunities for all students as well as supporting the sucsess of the department & the school.

    The sucsessful candidate will have:
    • A qualified teacher status/relevant degree.
    • Secondary school teaching trained.
    • Excellent subject knowledge including: programming, computational thinking, Logic, Boolean Logic, a computer and it's systems architecture
    • Number systems - binary + denary, e-safety, coding.
    • Understanding of assessment to promote student learning
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Vision, enthusiasm and passion for subject and learning.
    • Good behaviour and classroom management.
    • Ability to form good, professional relationships with colleauges and students.

    Job details:

    Secondary teaching

    Hours: 08:30-3:30pm

    Contract: Full time - part time avaliable

    Start date: Wednesday 5th September
