THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are delighted to be recruiting for a Development Engineer. You will be working on a series of activities on R&D funded projects.

The successful applicant will work closely with the technical departments across the business.

THE JOB:

Operate hardware and software as required for extensive computer simulations to evaluate forgings and castings integrity.
Write reports and papers to contribute to and support the work of the Research and Development departments
Produce and deliver presentations for colleagues, customers and auditors.
Carry out experiments to support technological development.
Operate lab equipment to support material investigations and trials.
Collaborate with the different company areas to tackle development projects.
Support with administrative tasks in the research department.
Assist in the design of manufacturing processes and the design of related items of plant and equipment.

THE PERSON:

BEng/MEng qualification or equivalent in Engineering or Science
Knowledge of materials/steels
Knowledge of computer simulations
Ability to tackle industrial problems using computer simulations
Work as a team member and interact with the different company areas
Ability to design and carry out industrial and laboratory trials
Ability to produce and present professional presentations/reports
