Quality Manager - Deeside - Up to £40,000


My client based in Deeside, specialises in the production of plastic products and currently have opportunity a highly motivated individual who wish to join our team.


This is an exciting role which will provide ongoing quality support for the manufacturing facility and direct quality liaison with our customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Organising and coordination of daily departmental duties for the quality function.
  • Collation, preparation and delivery of key quality information to ensure customer standards are achieved and areas for continuous improvement are identified and reported in accordance with company protocols.
  • Liaise professionally with customers while dealing with complaints, enquiries and developments with the aim of establishing logical and tangible solutions;
  • Working toward and exceeding company KPI's
  • Assist in the maintenance of the site quality systems (ISO, BRC); active participation in Internal Systems audits of Quality Management System;
  • Liaise with management team regarding internal and external quality issues.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of product, packing, manufacturing and quality specifications ensuring that accurate information is delivered effectively to all relevant areas of the operation to aid in the attainment of business objectives.
  • Support maintenance of internal calibration system
  • Support and maintaining all U.N approval certificates and test reports in accordance with legislative requirements and related trialling tasks.
  • Hands on measurement and testing to support production departmental objectives and product development; Support and provide corrective actions to the operation with regards to routine quality related issues;
  • Organising disposition of nonconforming product including issuing instructions for rework, costs data, stock blocking & stock adjustment control.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of training to factory inspectors and production personnel in relation to measurement techniques, quality or improvement issues.

Experience

  • Previous experience of working within a similar quality focused role
  • Experience of working within the plastics industry would be advantageous
  • A dynamic, proactive individual who possesses strong intellect, a passion for quality and improvements who can demonstrate the ability to make decisions and empower people to drive actions forward.
  • A proficient communicator at all levels; possess the ability to develop and maintain and ethos of team working.
  • IT proficient/Understanding of CMM, statistical data analysis and awareness of key quality standards.
  • Have a flexible approach to working. Proactive, ambitious, driven and tenacious with the hunger to succeed and deliver results.
