- Lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Provide effective support and mentoring to Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices.
- Support and manage the project team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements
- Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients. Ensure all team members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
- Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Provide full Project Management duties to AECOM clients.
- Experience of leading projects valued at over £10 million in capital value
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value, risks and programme in a holistic way
- Infrastructure and project management experience, delivering complex projects
- Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilize current digital tools.
- Highly motivated and with excellent industry network
- Relationship building skills –ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders as well as an ability to build and maintain networks of business contacts.
- Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Project Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
- Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Residential, Commercial, Education, Data Centre, sector experience would be advantageous.
- To be commercially aware and understand the fundamentals of the internal AECOM management systems and undertake PM duties in AECOM's Project Information Centre.
- The individuals proposed for the role of a Senior Project Manager will ideally demonstrate the following:
- A relevant degree such as in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or relevant subject. Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Project Manager Status with the RICS, APM CIOB or other equivalent institution.
- General post contract management and administration, proactively engaging with Client, contractor and other stakeholders, being aware of the scope of service and ensuring we deliver within the agreed parameters and help to resolve disputes whenever possible.
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management, ideally NEC-accredited.
- A project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2 would be desirable.
- Possess experience of preparing bid submissions and managing multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
- Experience of managing project finances.
- Prior line-management experience.

Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants.
The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Project Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to work with an Associate or Director to successfully manage, coordinate and deliver projects and/or to lead a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.
This role involves providing both client-side project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from initial inception, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase, and AECOM led commissions.
